My name is Maimuna Krubally! I am 20 years old and from The Gambia in West Africa.
I love cooking, entertaining and reading especially about other cultures and traditions.
I studied health and social care and hope to go to university to study nursing and follow the footsteps of my mum who inspired me into this noble and caring profession.
I have always been passionate about taking care of people especially the elderly and currently work as support worker caring for both the elderly and young.
I have a great sense of humour, love people and I am resilient.
I follow my dreams and this is highlighted in my pursuit for the Miss Africa GB title which so far has been challenging. I am not one to give up despite any difficulties.
I entered this pageant to give me a platform to work with projects I am passionate about . This will include any projects involved in empowering young girls and women to take space and also make sure their voices are heard. I think it's utterly important to teach the girl child about leadership in this modern day and age as it has been lacking for a long time. I believe we have a lot more to offer to the world and we should be given equal opportunities to prove ourselves worthy.
Being the next miss Africa Great Britain will give me the opportunity to reach out to young girls and to have a positive influence in their lives. This way, I would also be giving back to society that has given me so much!
