A. The final always takes place in October everyt year in line with Black History Month which takes place every October.

Q. Does everyone qualify for the grand finale?

A. Due to the large number of applicants to this competition, not everyone will qualify for a place in the grand finale.

.You are offered a place if the judges believe  that you show huge potential.  Being awarded a spot at the Grand Final is a great accomplishment.

Q. I have been selected for the Final, What happens next?

A. Firstly – Congratulations!! Getting through to the grand final is a huge achievement. The next step is to confirm your place in the competition; this is done by paying the sponsorship fee which is £200 including VAT! Or , if it is easier, you can pay a deposit of £60 (including VAT) which will secure your place and title, whilst you raise the rest.

Q. How many Awards will be presented?

A. Miss Africa GB winner, 1st runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, Miss Proactive, Top Model, Miss congeniality, Miss Social Media, Miss popularity and Miss Charity.

Q. Why must I pay a sponsorship fee?

A. The sponsorship fee is to pay for your participation in the competition. As you can imagine, organising an event like this incurs many costs – including the venue, staging, staff, prizes and more.

Sponsorship fees help to cover some of the fixed costs of the competition. Some other pageant competitions charge fees up to £600 but we have kept this as low as possible.

Q. I have never done anything like this before, do I need experience?

A. No – not at all. We have a brilliant team to guide you through the whole experience.  aYou will receive training and coaching to get you ready for the final.  Most of the finalists are completely new to the world of pageants, so you have no reason to worry!

Q. What will I get from competing in this competition?

A. The grand final is a lot of fun with memories lasting a lifetime.  Great friendships are made and finalists  grow immensely in confidence and self esteem. Many of our finalists have used the competition as a way to start in the modelling industry, started their own charities, advanced in their chosen careers and even competed in Miss World™.

Many of our past finalists are now members of the Miss Africa GB Organisation.

Q. What happens at the grand final?

A. Competing in the competition is such an amazing opportunity! Not only will you compete in the sparkling grand final, you will spend all day with the other girls learning how to walk on stage whilst having lots of fun!

Q. Who are the judges?

A. The judges are kept a secret until the grand final itself! They are respected individuals in their fields.

Q. Is there a certain look that I need to have for the competition?

A. Absolutely not! The pageant  does not have a particular look or physical expectations. We embrace all shapes and sizes. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

Q. What dresses will I need?

A. You will be competing in three stages on stage which are cultural wear, swimwear and evening wear.  The cultural wear section is the fun round where you can be creative and come up with an outfit which shows off your culture, tradition or personality.
