The Justina Mutale Scholarship for Underprivileged Young African Women was launched on Thursday, the 9th of June at the Chancery of the Zambian High Commission in London. Speakers on the night included Her Excellency, Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, Deputy Secretary-General, Commonwealth Secretariat, Ambassador Ajay K. Bramdeo, African Union Permanent Representative to the European Union , His Excellency, Mr Muyeba S. Chikonde, High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to the United Kingdom, Professor Elio D'Anna - Founder and President of The European School of Economics, Professor Chris Imafidon - Adviser to Governments, Monarchs and Leaders and Justina Mutale, Founder of the Justina Mutale Foundation.
The brainchild of African Woman of the Year and UN spokeswoman Justina Mutale was founded to enable underprivileged Young African Women to access higher education at overseas institutions of learning around the world.
